Who We Are

A specialist, not a general flooring shop

Austin Polished Concrete Floors was established in Austin in 2001. Since then we have polished concrete for homes and commercial properties across the city and the surrounding Central Texas communities, helping customers evaluate their concrete, compare finishes, and choose an approach that suits the space.

Mechanical polishing is our core work. Epoxy flooring and concrete overlays sit alongside it as supporting options for projects where they genuinely fit, such as a garage coating, a chemical-resistant commercial floor, or a slab that will never polish well on its own.

We are a local service business that works at customer properties. There is no public showroom and no branch office in every city we serve. Samples and mockups come to you as part of the assessment, which is the only way to judge a finish honestly anyway.

How We Work

Four commitments we actually keep

Assess before we sell

Every project starts with the slab: hardness, aggregate depth, contamination, flatness, cracks, and repair history. A test area beats a brochure every time.

Name the system honestly

Mechanical polishing, grind-and-seal, epoxy, and polishable overlays are different products with different lifespans. We tell you which one you are buying.

Put it in writing

Prep, repairs, exposure, sheen, treatments, phasing, inclusions, and exclusions are written into the scope, so there is no argument about what was agreed.

Claim only what we can back up

No stain-proof, slip-proof, maintenance-free, or crack-free promises. No published flat rates that ignore your prep. No review scores we cannot evidence.

Our Process

Area, property use, current floor, and photos. Reviewed within 24 business hours.

  2. 2

    Slab assessment

On-site evaluation and, where useful, a ground test area on your own concrete.

  3. 3

    System discussion

Polishing, overlay, or coating, with the reasons, trade-offs, and limits stated.

  4. 4

    Sample or mockup approval

Exposure, sheen, and colour agreed against something physical you can look at.

  5. 5

    Written scope, then the work

Documented scope, dust containment, phasing where required, and a tidy site.

  6. 6

    Care handover

What We Will Not Say

Claims you will not find on this site

  • Stain-proof, slip-proof, maintenance-free, or crack-free floors. No floor is any of those.
  • A flat price per square foot that ignores removal, repairs, edge work, and access.
  • Star ratings, review counts, or accreditation grades presented as customer scores.
  • Before-and-after "projects" that are illustrations rather than documented work.
  • A showroom or an office in a city where we only send a crew.

Where a claim needs evidence, such as project sizes, insurance, warranties, or accreditation, we publish it once we can show the record behind it, and not before.
